Montana State Science Fair  / CHS Student Wins Scholarship

Corvallis High School senior Roxy Rademacher won a gold ribbon, four awards and a scholarship for her project “Assessing Genetic Diversity of Bighorn Sheep in the Bitterroot Valley.”

Rademacher was awarded the Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks Special Recognition Award (best overall project relating to fish or wildlife), Ecology Project International (best wildlife project – which includes a five day trip to Yellowstone for an ecology seminar), UM Environmental Studies Division I Award, an Office of Naval Research - Division I Award and a UM Foundation - Marie Wallace Scholarship.

“It’s nice to see the results – I’ve been working on it for three years,” said Rademacher. “I’m excited about it. It gives me an extra scholarship so I’ve confirmed going to the UM to study wildlife biology.”
